Odds & Ends from Our Last Day in Roads

First — I think I forgot to mention that Owen and Hannah ran into Frank and Harker AGAIN — this time in Galway. Crazy coincidence!  Here's the happy couple having lunch in Galway:

ONE night it was warm enough to sit outside for drink before dinner.

Sadly we're still eating crappy cheese, unable to find any Kells Bay cheese at the markets. Sorry, Brian!
I literally thought I had lost my sense of taste and had Covid! That's how bland the cheese was...

Anyway, we are leaving this house in Roads, which is next to Kells, which is next to Cahersiveen (the nearest town with shops and stuff) and moving closer to downtown Cahersiveen. The landlord of this lovely place likes to stay here himself in the summer months, so he could give us only nine nights.

I took a walk, or maybe two, on Friday. You can go left or right at the end of our driveway, so I did both. Right takes you down to Kells Bay, and left takes you out to Fred's ancestors' land.

A beached jellyfish. Tons, actually. Creepy.

The baby cemetery  :(

Love me some hedges!

It's always up for debate if this stuff is sheeps' fur or some kind of plant. THIS, I believe, is the former.

I took this photo and coincidentally Fred drew the same scene.  Same day.

That night we went to Mike Murts' again and this time, finally, heard some traditional Irish music. SO GOOD! It was a great night with music, Guinness, and good craic with Donie O'Sullivan's father! I showed him the picture of us from two years ago and he got a big kick out of it. Then we took another when he was leaving.

I'm going to do one last dump here of my remembrances of July 2024 in Ireland and Belgiumn— the best of which is Owen's drone footag...
